Try dropping your memory timings first, then raising the bus speed, then fiddling with the memory timings later.

dude that is the same problem i had.. i talked to asus and we went through a hell of alot of bios changes..

basically he said it was the board, and for me to rma it and buy a new one...

my new one from GOOGLEGEAR.COM should be here this saturday, or monday..

where did you buy your board from?

Is THG Slightly Slacking??

I think his problem stems from Asus's PC3500 problem in BIOS. Asus has been screwing up a little on the memory bus of quite a few boards, look at the failures of the P4S8X as an example. They should hire my brother in law, a crack BIOS programer, to square away some of their problems.

So instead of me buying some DDR400 (PC3200 or PC3500) RAM for my project with the ASUS board, I should buy DDR333 and it should work? All this new memory stuff and motherboard technology is a little confusing.

I suggest PC3200. The problems appear to be BIOS misiterpreting the SPD values of PC3500, not PC3200.

just change spd setting to the settings u actually have if u got ddr 400 change setting to 200 percent i agree the asus bois doesnt actually detect everything right but most times just put in the real values and it will run fine.

Rob, you've gotten that Ti4200 to work with that board?

Mine causes some really funky lockups in games. All games. Can't load anything.

It runs fairly ducky other than that.

I'm thinking it's a problem with the Nvidia board drivers. And a bit of the detonators, but not much.

Which really gets me [-peep-] bent, because it's Godam NVIDIA for the Love of God. You'd think their own damn parts would work well together.

Whatever.
