Questions about Crysis and HDMI

So forgive me for repeating a question I'm sure has been asked.
I work with a guy who wants to buy a rig for his dad that will play Crysis. He initially said his budget with monitor was 1800 but now he seems willing to spend 3k. With an investment like that i do not want to steer him wrong. The basics first. He will be going with a 24" monitor to support full HD. As they love Blu-Ray. So it will also include a BD-Rom at least. I recommended he get a GPU with an HDMI but I do not know which ones support that. I recommended at least an 8400 cpu and for the GPU I am stuck. Does the GTX 280 or 260 have HDMI, does the 4870 or 4850, will they be enough? He's probably going to buy an Alienware. (He likes the cases. sigh.) Some input would be great. thanks.
