Install 64bit

Hi all,

I have a laptop with Vista Home Premium 32bit at the moment. It has a Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 2.26GHz CPU, 4GB RAM and a 180GB hard drive. I know that you can't upgrade a 32bit operating system to a 64bit unless if you do a clean install, but I have this question:

If my computer can run Vista Home Premium 32bit, is it capable of running Windows 7 Profession 64 bit?
or do you need special CPUs to run it?
