a7n8x + dual DDR

Firstly, Hi all...

I have just purchased the asus A7N8X-deluxe mobo and have a couple of questions. I'm in between a newbie and a novice, if there is such a stage!

With dual ddr on this board is the process automatic i.e. fill slots 2 and 3 with identical 256 dimms and wham thats it? Also, am I able to get 4.2gb bandwidth by using my pc2100 ddr or is pc2100 not supported. What happens to dual ddr if I fill say slot 1 with a 128 pc2100 ddr dimm while slots 2 and 3 are filled - does it 'turn off'? I guess there are obvious answers but I've been through manual and can't find anything on this subject. Out of interest my cpu is an pal xp1800+ which I have unlocked (thx thg), is the cpu/memory bandwith rstricted to 3gb which inturn restricts the dual ddr?

yes it's automatic as long as you follow the instuctions on page 1-8 of the manual.

Sorry just to clarify 'dual ddr' supports pc2100 and with mobo three slots? Is there a s/w test to see what bandwidth is being achieved?
