Has any body yet found a beta BIOS or some way to make this board support PC2700 RAM yet. I know it probably no as easy as that but just wondered. I brought 2700 just in case. I figured It'll future proof me if nothing else?

I recall you've asked this question before. Anyway, AFAIK there's no such bios and your PC2700 RAM will only work as PC2100 normally.

While the BIOS does not support a faster RAM, you can overclock the board thereby increasing the memory speed.
Example:
PC2700 and P4 2.4 533 stock FSB 133 with adjusted CPU voltage of 1.52 which is stock voltage for that CPU. Standard memory clock is 266. (133 times max multiplier 2 equals 266)

Reset to FSB 150 yields 300 memory speed at the maximum multiplier at 2.0. CPU power would also increase to 2.7.

I have run it faster to yield CPU power of 2.9 and memory speed of about 375.

Every working computer must be improved .... or replaced ...

Thanks once again Jeff, I look forward to completing my setup and trying out all the overclocking tips you have gave. You remembered I had the P2.4b too. At least I might be able to draw on some of the benefit of the 2700.

Thanks Again Jeff ;-)
