Far Cry 2 moves the acclaimed shooter to the plains of Africa. And from the looks of the demo, the game will look and play more like Crysis than the original Far Cry. Tom's Games tries out Ubisoft's highly anticipated sequel.

as long as the game is nothing like far cry i may look into it.

farcry sucked. simple as that, taking out human mercenaries was great, a silly mutant storyline was not, this looks like it has more promise.

graphics in earlier builds suck in my opinion.... older, more recent builds look much better but I still think crysis looks better

BUT

I think the engine is better

BUT

I think the best engine is project offset which no one knows about... so I can obviously say its the best cause no one can refute that claim

You'll be pleased to know, Stranger, that Far Cry 2 will feature human-on-human violence only. No mutants in the sequel.

Guay also said the development team currently has the game running on a Pentium 4 system with a single GeForce 6800 card at Ubisoft Montreal's office.

Nice to know that FarCry 2 should be playable by a larger gaming audience than Crysis. Of course graphics quality and resolution was not mentioned.
