I can't seem to find any good info on using a bigger HD on my 360 (20gb currently) and I am not willing to part with $100 for the 120gb HD. Seems absurd to spend that much for that. I would like to use the HD like it was part of the system and not have to upload and download to my pc all the time? Is that even possible? I bet its a big no-no :non: for Microsoft. What are my options at this point?

I'm confused. Do you want info on how to get more space without buying an Xbox 360 hard drive, or do you want info on if it's possible to save stuff on your pc from the 360, which I don't think is possible.

Uhh, the 120GB is currently $180 in the U.S. although I believe it is supposed to drop down to $150 when the 60GB model becomes available.

I hadn't heard about the 60gb model... That will probably be sufficient memory space for me. As long as it isn't outrageously expensive.

Sorry for the confusion, I was in a hurry when I wrote it.

I would like to buy a normal pc hard drive that has competitors (which gives competitve prices), than to buy the monopoly, heavily over-priced 360 HD from Microsoft. Then somehow transfer all my data from the 20gb, to the new and bigger "pc" HD.

I would like the end result to be...to have the 'pc' HD end up where the original 20gb HD the came with the console. I dont think it is possible, but I was just curious if anyone knew of something like this.

If my calculations are correct, the 60gb should be around $50, so that is reasonable I suppose. I wasn't going to pay $180 (thank you Heyyou) for 120gb...

Actually, I believe the 60GB is going to retail for more like $100.

I don't think you can buy a PC hard drive and use it on a 360. If you could, MS wouldn't sell 360 hard drives or make them so expensive. It might be possible, but it would require modding which voids the warranty. Try looking on Google and see if you can find anything.
