I am using a MS-6119 (i440BX) from Micro-Star, with Award BIOS. This motherboard does NOT suppoer coppermine CPUs. I wonder if I can still use the PowerLeap adepter to upgrade to maybe 1.4 GHz Celeron.

Yes, although if it did have support coppermine cpus you would have only required a much cheaper slotket, the one that you can get for about $30. Unfortunately you will only be able to officially run a 100fsb cpu with that chipset, a celeron will work fine.
