Q about Vcore mod on A7N8X.

I have found the mod on maximumoc.com, and it explains it mostly. Just want it confirmed that it is as easy as it sounds I have a good 25k Variable Resistor, and I have a guy that is really good at soldering, so there is no big risk there.

As I understand it I should connect one pin as it is marked on the picture, and the other one should just go to ground somewhere on the mobo. My questions are: Where can I connect the ground? I am using all 3-pin fans right now. And does anyone know the aprox. resistance it should be on? I can set it on anything between 0 and 25k (works, checked with multimeter). And last question, where am I supposed to check the voltage when mod is done? shall i just try to boot it on max resistance, and slowly lower it until i can get into bios and check there?
