CES goes pink with Hello Kitty

Most booths at the Consumer Electronics Show are pretty bland, but Spectra International's booth stood out with several walls of eye-searing pink Hello Kitty electronics. The cat face with its trademark missing mouth, a symbol of international cuteness, was plastered on everything from phones to USB sticks. An estimated 1.6 million visitors will gawk at very expensive cars, eye-searing color schemes and beautiful show girls at this year's Thailand International Motor Expo held just north of Bangkok. The region's second largest car show - just behind the Tokyo motor Show - hopes to slow the region's slump in auto sales by adding some glitzy shows and great faces to the window shopping experience. A website vaguely describing what could be a handheld device is heating up rumors on the Internet, OrigamiProject.com, registered to Microsoft, is believed to outlined a new approach to generate a product category between the PDA and the Tablet PC, which appears to fit very well into Intel's description of a Ultra Mobile PC (UMPC).
