Dell - http://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials/Other+products/24%22+Dell+UltraSharp+U2412M+Widescreen+IPS+Monitor+-+Black+?productId=45875&source=googleps

Asus - http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Monitors+%26+TVs/26+inch+Monitors+%2B/27%22+ASUS+VE278Q+Widescreen+LED+Monitor+-+Black+?productId=46363

I've been looking at monitors for a few hours now and I've brought it down to 2 monitors.

I'm unsure which would be better suited to me. I am wanting a monitor for gaming and I will be using a GTX670 with an I5 3750k. I like the idea of 1920x1200 but I don't really like the idea of 8ms response time. The Asus has a resolution of 1920x1080 and a response time of 2ms.

Is the response time noticeable? Are up to date games compatible with 1920x1200?

What is your opinions on these monitors?

its a little less expensive ($312 US comapred to 225 pounds which is about $350, dont know what the shipping would cost you) but its a better product. newegg says 80 million : 1 contrast ratio while amazon says 50 million which is still better than the 10 million : 1 for the monitor you picked. response time is 1ms and the brightness is the same.

I am currently using Dell u2412m, nice monitor actually, I have it shipped here (not really sure why we are so close to chin than US yet we have no products like that here) to the Philippines after getting it from Amazon,, there are slight lights coming off the corners and are noticeable during pure black background and not sure if it was the result of transport processes, great monitor and the 8ms response, you cannot actually notice it

if I am correct at the milliseconds, can your eyes really detect difference between 2/1000 seconds from 8/1000 seconds

I am ordering U2412M and it should be on its way to me right now.
Ultrasharp seire from Dell are fast IPS panels with excellent build quality and already included with pivot stand so you can adjust the height, etc. without paying extra to buy such stand.

I saw the monitor, one of my friends has it and I tried to play Mass Effect 3 wth it. I see no ghosting at all.

P.S.
I tend to ignore the manufacturers given datas for the reaction time, tose datas are more to saling strategy and has nothing to do with the real world.
Some websites provide the real measured reaction time, and the datas given by the manufacturer are very often or most of the time wrong.
Just go somewhere and take a look at it personally.

I dunno, if you can understand the language but...here is the detailed review from U2412m

Good choice - the 2412m has an extremely high user satisfaction level on Newegg
and B&H photo, and decent prof reviews to boot.
