Running 60fps on a 120hz monitor? will I see issues?

Alright guys, So I'm going to be getting a new monitor the BenQ XL2420T or the Samsung S23a750D (Depends on availability and I'll decide soon enough)

My main question is that I'm running a single 7870 at the moment and I will crossfire but not yet.

Since i can only run ~60fps on ultra settings in this day of age, would 60fps on a 120hz monitor look better or worst than 60fps on a 60hz monitor.

I've seen where some people said that 60fps on the 120hz monitor is similar to 30fps on the 60hz monitor... but can anybody confirm this?

And also, BenQ or the Samsung?

Not from my experience, but often times high settings with higher FPS are better than Ultra with lower FPS.

Yeah, When i run high vs ultra i gain 10-15fps on my 1 graphics card.
