Looking For 24" - 27" 120Hz Monitor (2D Gaming)

Hey guys,

I'm looking around at 120Hz monitors, and I need some suggestions. I had a nice recommendation for a 24" BenQ XL2420T, but I'd like to hear from a few others. I will post my setup below, and the primary uses for this computer are gaming, video editing, and music production. I'm trying to keep this at a $500 max. As long as the quality is good, the lower the price, the better. The faster refresh rate is important to me. I'll also be entering the military soon and would like this monitor to take the place of a TV & to have the ability for me to plug my xbox into it. I'm not interested in 3D monitors, as my primary uses will be 2D gaming & video editing.

So far I'm looking at the BenQ XL2420T. It seems to be within my budget (lower end too which is great!), and seems to have a lot of positive feedback. I'll link it below, and would love any recommendations or suggestions. Cheers!

For xbox games, refresh rates higher than 120hz are pointless as most games are capped at 30 or 60 fps.

I would recommend you save your money and get a higher quality panel like the U2312HM

I respect what you are saying, but I'll also be using this monitor for fast FPS, as well as other PC games. This isn't only for xbox, or watching tv. I plan to also work on a bit of video editing, and music production on this as well, so the faster refresh rate would be a plus for me.

If I had to have a 120hz monitor I think I too would purchase the BenQ2420T. I believe whichever monitor you purchase you will be happy with.
