Sorry I could not get to you. Was out on vacation.Anyways. Thanks warmon for that. It was a little incoherent to me. Possibly not use to the UI.
BTW: Epic move for the egg to sell on the first.
thats ok.
Oh btw, Haserath, i saw this poster over at [H]ard saying what to do about that issue until the problem is truly fixed.

As far as flash videos go, just disable hardware acceleration and you can fold while watching flash videos. If you do not disable hardware acceleration, and you're folding the new work units and try to play a flash video the system will completely lock up and require a hard reset.Maybe you can try that out and see if it works.

The browser doesn't matter. Chrome has actually been pretty stable for me, but I'm not a heavy user.I have also turned off hardware acceleration in FF to see if that affected it, but even pages like Tom's will freeze with or without acceleration.
It seems only the video actually freezes though. If I play a youtube video and it freezes while it's playing, the audio will keep going as if it was perfectly fine.

Besides, mine seems to crash on any flash content, like Tom's page can even crash it. I'm just doing Bigadv for now.

Watch the guy with the big eyes. Creepy.
I have a better idea...gmail voice. You speak what you want to type, so that yo can put a little more thought into the letter without having to think and process at the same time. It also allows us to put a little more emotion as well...no pun intended.

That cracked me up Haserath.
Re-installed W7 and it seems to have helped my OC issue, now gonna try the V7 Client.

Glad to see your board isn't the problem. That would be annoying to have a bad board with such a good proc.

, I missed this the 1st time round.Haserath, are you Folding bigadv yet, I've just followed the Overclock.net guide that Warmon posted to try it.
Its annoying me that it won't show my cpu credit or ppd, hopefully HFM will be sorted soon.
Another problem when folding cpu and gpu my screen display slows down and the pages roll, like a serious lag.
Just wondered if any one else had this issue with the latest Nvidia drivers, I seem to remember I had to swith back to the previous drivers before.
Folded all night 4ghz and passed OCCT after fresh install so looking better.

^ Aw man. I haven't even reached 2000 points. Only 9WU's. Oh well. I know I will never be a top contender in anything.
Anyways. Congratulations warmon! I salute you sir. :07:
Thats not me. I could only wish owning 2000+ cpu to drop 13 million points in a single day. Although, i wouldn't want to pay that the electric bill....
Here a quote from this guy,
Quote:
So I am breaking in three racks, each rack has 4 chassis ,each chassis has 14 blades. Each blade is a dual processor machine with 6 cores per processor and 36gig of RAM. I will probably stop running the folding first thing Monday as I am just trying to provoke any more failures. About 26 out of the 168 have an issue of some sort and the supplier will be in at some point to fix them. Each chassis is drawing about 3KW right now.3KW per chassis.
3*4*3= 36KW of power!!!!

^ Per day? How does this wattage system work?Dont know. Im guessing when he saying drawing 3KW's, he meaning just like how we would use a kill-a-watt to find our electrical draw. So whatever the kill-a-watt measures (watts per hour, per day, ect) it's the same thing.
All i know for sure is that this guy is in some kind of data center and he stress testing his hardware to be sure there up to the task.

Started Bigadv the minute I knew the command to do it.
It seems like it's slower than when I had v6. What's your TPF?

Right well I've picked up a 2686 (2, 12, 97) WU by the looks of it.
The TPF is around 36 mins without dpu and nearer 40 mins with, this is @4ghz.
Since switching to bigadv I have encountered a problem where after a few hours I get a box saying
Quote:
"fahcore.a5 has encountered a problem and the program needs to be shutdown"What I do is right click on the smp Folding slot, Pause and then Fold and away it goes again?!?
It ran for 2 days straight on normal smp, just started since the move to bigadv but I remember I had problems before with the 2865(?) wu's.
We need credits and ppd figures for a comparison.

Installed older Nvidia drivers and everything seems ok now.
Bit of a shuffle on the boards top 5, DD up to 3rd but bholland still way clear of 5th.
Sakarov is on my case but I'm just waiting for that bigadv to drop.
Couple of new entries including kureme with a healthy 11.5k average.
Keep up the good work team.

Use EOC for your stats. They filter out the two default groups which puts us at 77. We should be gaining three spots in the next few weeks.

PlayStation.com Forums Team 2.1 Weeks
MicroMart-UK 1.6 Weeks
Gentoo Linux Users Everywhere 1.1 Weeks
Now speaking of stats, seams the F@H group wants to do some changes to the stat system.
http://folding.typepad.com/news/2011/04/change-to-the-s...
Duration from what i'm reading is going to start in a few days but it's going to take the entire month to complete these changes.
You guys are going to have to read the blog (the link above) about it as its got to much detail for me to cover.
____________________________________________________________________________________
Hopefully there wont be any more news in the F@H sector for the rest of the week. I'm going to be working like a dog this thursday and friday. it's related to school but not the normal thing.
We have a very big thing going this friday and it's an opening of a "Reimagining Education and Learning" (REAL) center and it's the very first on here in the USA in (and when including this one out of 3 of these centers around the world. Oxford, UK and Australia (sorry forgot the city it's in) are the 2 other locations.
http://www.rmeducation.com/us/shops/rmusa/content/view....
Yeah, thursday there going to be training me and a few other students to learn everything that about the REAL center (Woot! Im going to be one of the first few students to try out the real center!
). Then on friday, all of us there were trained the day before, we literally going to be giving tours to groups that are coming across the country to be at my school.
I just wish i had the news a bit earlier though so i could work with all my teachers to get stuff done that I would working on this Thursday and Friday. ![[:aford10:1] [:aford10:1]](http://m.bestofmedia.com/sfp/images/design/usr/smilies/85/c6/aford10:1.gif)
Now i been hearing about this real center (or as us students are calling it "Real room") for a few months but i didn't think it was going to be big. Boy was I wrong.
Im going to be agreeing with a shirt im going to be getting on friday. it's ment for the people coming it to be able to identify us from the rest of the school and i do believe it said "real challenge". Oh so how true it's going to be.Maybe i show help less including tech related stuff.
(I know teachers nominated/recommended students for being real center guides. I'm guessing for me why i'm one of those students is because i've helped so many other students/teachers with tech questions from minor issues to complex ones. Now from what i know about this room is,
Here is my schools web site and it has that sneak peak video on it's home page.
http://wbechs.beaufortsc.schoolfusion.us/
Man, the school im in, just keeps getting more and more interesting (and it hasn't even been open 1 full year yet!)
(sorry about the long post.
I just couldn't contain my excitment.

Good Luck on your tours. Wish you well and God bless.
Thats what it sounds like to me as well. Just cant wait to get in there.
Wish you a good day as well.

TPF actually 32 mins, the v7 only gives you an estimated time of 36 mins but checking the log its 32 mins. This makes better reading with the re-installed OS, its Folding bigadv, just CPU, look at the idle temp of the Asus GTX460.
http://img541.imageshack.us/img541/6047/unledl.png
Yeah...something is definitely wrong with mine; it's showing 47 min TPF and the log says about the same.
Those are nice temps for a GTX 460; though, they did "sip" power compared to other GTX 4xx cards.
Does that have a custom cooler or is it reference? -

Have a look at this, my bigadv has stopped on 72% and it says status - Send, but never gets anywhere.
It has also downloaded something else that has a credit of 585 pts, what is going on.
v7= JUNK so far, thinking of switching back until they release a better version.

hmmm not sure about that. i know that v7 has the ability of downloading wu's as soon as your uploading them but that doesn't seam to be whats going on.
Maybe you should go to the folding forums and post your issue there. The mods there, if it's a repeatable issue, will make a ticket so that the F@H makers can look into it and fix it. although for and update on the V7, some where i could of sworn that i saw a post from one of the mods saying that there will be V7.1.23 here soon. (currently on V7.1.21) this should be fixing a lot of bugs that have been discovered since it launched in open-beta.
Now for me, i haven't had an issue with v7 client yet. Although im not what you would call a power user so im mainly running on smp.
Now about the TPF's and points stuff, yeah people have notice that as well. Now i cant explain the points issue but for TPF, they do a different method of calculating which is they take the entire log of tpf (from when you started to current frame) and average it out instead of like last 3 frames or what ever. Basically, if you stop the client and start it back up, you get a different tpf than what you just saw a bit ago.
hope this helps.

Thanks Warmon, I've posted it over at the Forum.
Having read a few posts over there it seems that the smaller wu's I'm picking up are actually smp but the v7 doesn't show the bonus points.
Checked on EOC and a couple of 4k+ credits on my production board so must be them.
Just don't wanna lose the bigadv unit when its nearly 3/4 done, its status is still - Send???

Well, that is actually quite a bit less PPD than I expected. Do you constantly fold with the 5970 and only get 15k PPD?

Nice to have you on board MM, hang on we already have a MM the Mouseman, you can be the Moleman.
That certainly is a vast improvement for an ATI card.
Like Dogman said it can take a while for Avatars to show up, make sure you load it from the .com site and not .co.uk, coz it don't work very well.
