Hello,

I want to upgrade my motherboard but keep costs low if possible...
it currently has;
• Processor: Celeron 1GHz single core 32 bit.
• RAM: 1X 1GB DDR-400MHz
• HD drive: IDE 20GB 7200rpm
• Graphics and sound: on board
• OS: Windows XP professional service pack 1 32 bit.

What components would you recommend?
I particularly what extra storage. My knowledge on computers is a little limited.

best thing if you want low cost. go on ebay/local craiglist/kijiji and buy a used computer.

With components that old you cant buy a compatible motherboard or processor new .

Upgrades are going to be used hardware and even that will be quite scarce and still never bring you up to a decent performance level.

I'd say start saving for a new computer
