Hello!
I'm currently about to put together a new rig which will include a Intel i5 3470 and 8GB RAM powered by a 500w PSU.

The only problem is after losing about another £30 for the Asus 7870, I need to drop down a level and I only have £160 left to spend. The question is, "What Card do I buy and from what make?"

I've considered an 650ti, a Sapphire 7850 2GB or a Asus 7850 2GB... any advice is welcome!

The 7850 pretty much rules the $160-200 price point right now. The 650 TI isn't bad but the memory bus is bigger on the 7850. So especially if you want to go with a 2 GB of VRAM on the GPU you will want the larger memory bus.

I hope that helps and I wish you luck!

Thanks a lot :)

The 7850 seems to be the way to go, however some people are suggesting that I should just get a GTX 660 and I wont have to worry about upgrading anywhere in the near future. Only thing is the CiT 500w PSU seems to send everyone Ape *** over in another forum since it will apparently cause me endless trouble if I attempt to run my new system off it.

Maybe it'd be best for be to buy a cheaper GFX card and use the extra money for a new Corsair 500w Build Series so my PC will be a little bit safer.

Getting a new power supply first is your best bet dude :) you can buy the HD7870 if you don't mind your system dying out on you. Not recommended, get the CX500 and maybe save up for the HD7870? But do yourself a favour and dont run any GPU's on that PSU.
