Win 7 reboot cycle on startup after new motherboard.

Hi. I just installed a new mobo and it freezes on starting windows for a second then resets instantly. I had a read around and I tried different ram slots and they were fine. I can go into startup repair as normal. Will I need a new install of Win 7? Does it matter that I have an OEM copy of windows? Thanks

Try setting SATA to IDE in BIOS.

Didn't try that sorry. Did a clean install and it works now. Wish I had an SSD. This could of been avoided. :/ I lost all my data
