New budget build, trying to push under £400!

Hi there,

Am new here but have been lurking!

Looking at building my first rig, think my 8 year old pc is almost out of date!

I only need to use the rig for illustrator/photoshop and games like Starcraft 2, Diablo 3 and Skyrim.

Obviously I'm willing to change bits, I really wanted to make a mini atx case but not too fussed if I can't!

Here's where I'm at so far!

Please have a look, and please suggest changes! If you can break under 400 it would be hilarious!

I already own a 430 corsair psu and a DVD rw. Also got a cooler coming so put a low end one there!

Do you think the Phenom II X4 965 Black would be a better choice than the FX-4300, they seem very equal, but £20 cheaper for the phenom!

Yes , they are very similar in performance . Go for the cheaper one .

The Phenom and FX are about the same and the Phenom is better in some situations. Try and fit a 7850 in your budget, it will make your life a lot better.

Thanks, think im gonna go with the phenom, I have been trying to fit a 7850 in, but have found a fairly cheap 6870 HD, which Benchmarks pretty highly! what do you think?
