I'm looking forward to going to college for computer engineering. This summer I'd love to get a job that would let me either work on computers or at least around them. I've built many systems and I'd love a job surrounding the idea of computer building, but that is a bit of a problem as most places won't hire applicants that don't have a certain schooling. I'm 17 and I want a computer related job, any suggestions? Thanks very much for your help. I'm not expecting to be hired as a high position I understand I'll have to work my way up the chain.

I started out in IT working at Best Buy in the computer department, then moved into Geek Squad before getting my CCNA and getting into Network Engineering.

Try to find an electronics store like Best Buy, Fry's, etc., or a junior desktop support/technical support role. Tech Support shops that are 24/7 are great for students because it'll allow you to go to school in the morning and work in the evening or vice versa.
