Hey guys,

I bought my PC about 2 years ago and I am looking to upgrade it mainly since my CPU really is starting to bottleneck/lagg behind in most videogames. For rendering/3d my setup still runs fine but extra CPU power would indeed come in handy.

My rig now:
AMD Phenom X4 II 955 Black Edition
Asrock 870 Extreme 3 Motherboard
GTX 570 Twin Frozr 3 OC
16gb DDR3
( not sure what the name is, but I replaced my RIPJAWS with them and where supposedly faster )
Scythe Mugen 3 CPU cooler
1 TB Hard disk

My Budget: around 500-700 euros ( +-900 dollars normally but most components are 1 dollar = 1 euro so keep that in mind )

My goal: Faster rendering (Photoshop, 3Ds Max) and a future proof gaming rig. Will eventually replace my GPU in a year (or two). I also want an SSD disk since I would have to get a new motherboard/install windows 7 anyway.

My thoughts on the new Processor (tell me if I am wrong!): I am heavily set on either;
Intel i7 2700k, great processor and most likely the best choice if I only wanted it for gaming.
Intel i7 3770k, a tad faster than the 2700k but with a bit less overclocking ability( I read it had some heating issues despite it being build to withstand a higher temp? ). Has hyper threading which might be the best choice since I work in the 3D industry.

Motherboard:
Since my old MOBO does not support ivy bridge I am thinking of getting the "ASRock Z77 Extreme4" or the Asrock Z77 Extreme6. Despite its good reviews im a big setback by the many complaints that its very fragile. Please suggest some boards!

SSD:
I do not need a big SSD so if I can save up on this than I would. Than again if it fits within my budget you wont see me complain.

CPU cooler: I still have the Mugen 3 but I think I need a new cooler for my new CPU (?). Suggestions please ^^

3770k even if OC lower, its performance is better than sandy bridge. dont justify performance by GHz
ASRock Z77 Extreme4 is great choice
for SSD, get 128GB samsung 840 pro, or 830 version
mugen 3 is still a great performer
