New build from the research I have done I believe this will work out fine
specs:

i7-2700k
g.skill ripjaws 12gb 1600mhz tri channel ram
and the mobo is ASRock Z68 PRO3 GEN3

Im not sure if my mobo or cpu will run the 1600mhz trichannel can anyone clarify this for me ?

also I will be over clocking the processor to about 4.5 GHz do you think this will be safe with the mobo I have heard that it cant handle heavy ocing.

You can use "tri-channel" RAM but the mobo is dual channel. To quote the specs: ■Supports Dual Channel DDR3 2133(OC). Don't waste money on tri-channel as you need to pair sticks of RAM. Go with either 2 sticks or 4 sticks of RAM.
