My buddy bought a refurb HP online. He wants to game some with it. We were thinking of sending it back and piecing one out. But if we do the math it seems better to just piece out the refurb. I mean if we can reuse the case/optical/win 7 that's almost 150 there. I think he paid 165 for it.

My main question is will this case:

Work with:
ASRock N68C-GS FX AM3+ Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
AMD Athlon II X4 640 Propus 3.0GHz3 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor.

I will post all the pieces if we clear this first hurdle.

Thanks!

you can take out the optical drive and that is about it. windows license is tied to the motherboard.

and whatever is inside the prebuilt wont game. might as well just send it back and get a new system altogether

The case would not work either?

I am reading some posts that say its worth a call to microsoft and that they may allow you to move it to another motherboard?
