Hello Everyone!
I was hoping I can get some assistance in regards to my new build. I'm pretty excited, for this is my first custom build in 10 years!

CPU: AMD A10-5800k
Motherboard:ASRock FM2A75 Pro4
HD: Samsung 120 GB SSD MZ-7TD120BW 2.5" 120GB SATA III
Case: Coolermaster 430 Elite
Power Supply: Crucial 430CV
Heatsink: Coolermaster 212 Evo
RAM: G. Skill 2x8GB @ 1866 mHz

I have purchased everything with the exception of the CPU and RAM. Basically waiting on the price to go down on these two items.

I would like some assistance in regards to what model ram to get specifically. My board has 4 slots and can handle upto 32GB. I want to start with 16GB for now (yes it may be a bit overkill right now) and sold on the G. Skill Brand. There seems to be two items that fall under this category, and the primary difference appears to be timing

I’ve seen quite a few people go with the Ripjaws build. If anyone can provide insight/advise, I’d appreciate it!

Thanks,

Thank you for the reply. Are you certain the ripjaws will not fit under the heatsink for that slot? No clearance?
I did some research and outside of the heatspreader length, no major differences. Same performance.

Thanks for the link! One thing to consider, doesn't the spacing differ from motherboard to motherboard?

I actually get my motherboard (ASRock FM2A75 Pro4) and the evo 212 in the mail today, so once I open them up, I will measure and compare to the stated clearance of the ripjaws.
