FX 6300 Gaming

I know that the common opinion is that intel is "better" for gaming than AMD, and that may be true in benchmarks. But, in real world performance, how well does the AMD FX-6300 (stock speed) play on games like Skyrim or The Witcher 2 (assuming, of course, a fast GPU), as compared with, say, a core i3-3220?

The FX-6300 might be better, in skyrim it won't be, witch 2 idk, here's a comparison between the two :

Those games, stock vs stock the i3 wins.

You would need to overclock the 6300 to have it win.
