Want to add RAM to laptop?

Hey guys , I have an Asus-G75VW laptop with 4gb RAM , I feel that i require atleast 6-8gb ram for gaming and I am planning to add them , problem is I have never done it before and I don't know which RAM to choose etc. , I also need your opinion on how much RAM to add , my budget is around 100-150$ and I will probably need advice on how to properly place the RAM's myself , any help much appreciated .

How much memory your Windows OS will recognize depends on which version of Windows you are running. 32-bit versions of Windows will see (and utilize) only 3GB or 3.5GB. To utilize more memory, install a 64-bit version of your OS.
