** Note: The DVD Drive is $17.97, and is the same for both builds, price isn't listed though. All prices have been set to TigerDirect.ca, since that's the only place nearby to my house that I can drive to.

Intel Build: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/JhpX
AMD Build: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/Jhsi

Games planned to use on Very High to Ultra settings:
-Total War: Shogun 2
-Total War: Rome 2 (when released)
-Killing Floor
-Dirt Showdown / or that new derby game from BugBear when released
-Sniper Elite Nazi Zombie Army
-Trials Evolution Gold
-Starcraft 2
-Diablo 3
-Destiny (if released on PC)
-Probably a few that I'm forgetting, but nothing major like Crysis.

General Uses:
-Internet Explorer
-Youtube
-Windows Live Mail
-Skype
-Windows Media Player with many codecs on the go at times
-Norton 360 A/V
-Dual display (duplicate, for watching movies / netflix)
-Printer Sharing (in the near future)
-On extremely rare occasions I use the Unity game creation program that my friend let me borrow, but I haven't gotten very far in making a game, so that may not be an issue later.

All thoughts are welcome, but please explain. Thanks

The XT is actually on Tigerdirect, just couldn't seem to find it on partpicker. But thanks for the heads up.

I think I should mention, my main focus with these builds is basically:

Do I buy Intel for the better performance now while knowing the LGA1155 is on it's way out, or buy the AM3+/AMD in hopes that when games start using more cores that I can hold out longer?
