Using Tablet to control PC Via Bluetooth

So, I will be getting my apartment soon, and I am going to be using my PC as a media center (No cable), livestream off the internet. I intend on putting my 32'' TV in the living room with PC, a 22" monitor in my room, with a long VGA chord.

I will be using a Satellite to pick up a free wifi signal offered at my apartment complex pool area about 50-70 Ft away.

I am exploring different ways to remotely control my PC. I was thinking of using a Tablet to remote control my Windows 8 PC So I can pull up movies/tv shows/Music while sitting on my couch, or in my kitchen, or on my bed. Is it possible to do this Via bluetooth or another method, Since I doubt the Tablet will be able to pickup the Wifi signal.

I am trying to make this the ultimate bachelors pad, so would be awesome if that little tablet could control the whole apartment, I will be looking into ways to make the pc control the lights and stuff in the apartment too :>

If your PC can use the WiFi signal, so would the tablet. Bluetooth bandwidth is too low for any type of remote connection to a computer.

not necessarily, I am using the Satellite to pick up Wifi signals from further away, a super antenna. That Antenna runs directly to my PC, the dongle sitting inside the sattelite with a USB extension chord running from the dongle on the satellite to my PC.

You said " to pick up a free wifi signal offered at my apartment complex pool area about 50-70 Ft away", to me that sounds like the wifi signal is 50-70 feet away.

If you meant something else by this, you can use any wifi device with an external antenna to get the signal and use that for the tablet. Or get a second wifi card for the computer and turn on internet connection sharing on it though that second card. Or use this http://www.embeddedworks.net/pdetail.php?mn=wlan&prod=w... connected to the sattelite and use a regular wifi range extender to get full wifi coverage for more than a few devices.

Yes, thats exactly what I will need Thank you.

True I will be using that Wifi, but if there is another open connection that is faster I will be using that. I am pretty sure that the free Wifi at the pool area is gonna be the slowest internet possible, so it'll be a pain in the but with slow internet. 50-70 Ft away is pretty long ways for wifi to travel anyways aint it? I just figured at that distance, without some sort of big bulky Antenna, that would defeazt the purpose of the tablet, theres no way I'd pick that up.

Thanks for the help.

The wifi signal will do 150 feet with mild interference and still get decent speeds. 70 feet is fine unless you have a bunch of thick walls blocking it.
