For the rig that I have, I have been getting terrible performance. Here are my specs, or the most important ones anyways.
Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.
AMD FX-8120 8 core proc ~ 2.8GHz
8gb DDR3 RAM
Nvidia GTX 550ti
750W PS
120gb SSD
2 TB HDD
Most games I have to play on lowest settings and still get 15-30 fps. Games like this include: FarCry3, Chivalry, PlanetSide 2, (almost any MMO), etc.
What really worries me about my proc speed is that originally, I used Windows XP 32-bit. I was assured that my 2.8GHz would increase when I upgraded to 64-bit version. And I did assure that I installed the 64 instead of the 32. Nothing improved with the speed. If someone could help me I would be much appreciated.
