Computer only recognizes intel hd 4000

I just got a computer and it only recognizes an intel hd 4000 graphics card even though i have an amd radeon 7870. I don't know what to do....

Make sure the card is seated in the pci-e slot correct (remove the card and re seat it) and the power leads are plugged into the card. If your operating system still cant detect the GPU then if you motherboard has then try a different pci-e slot. If still no joy then it could be a faulty GPU.
