The title says it Why do 6 gbps drives (SSD's mainly) get only upto 500 mbps in read/write speeds?

Also, here it says that "Samsung's 840 Pro and OCZ's Vector really push the SATA 6Gb/s interface to its limits". I've seen the benchmarks they too can get 550 mbps max, how is it that 500 mbps speed pushing a 6gbps interface to the limit?
