I know this is a little lengthy, but I'm curious as to how this build looks. I don't really know anything at all about MOBOs, so no idea if this one is good or not. I went with an Enermax PSU, even though the watts may be a little high, since I've heard good things about the brand.

If anything sticks out as a red flag please let me know.

That power supply is a bit of an overkill you are right, you can do with anything in the 600 + watt range for a good gaming system, 700 if you plan on adding a second card for SLI.

Also, the i7 is not that much of an increase over an i5 for just gaming. Check for a fast i5 chip that may be lots cheaper. You can probably save a few $100 easily with those two changes and probably not lose any speed at all. Read this http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,3106-4.html

The difference between the i5 and i7 in that article is about 5%, not worth the extra $300 in price I think. Spend that on a better monitor.

Any feedback as far as MOBO or case go? I know it's important to have a good case that ventilates well and such... and MOBOs I know little to nothing about
