Hey guys, I was looking at two different gaming rigs at roughly the same price tag, which one do you guys think is better (since I wouldn't really know).

http://www.amazon.co.uk/GAMING-4100-Quad-Core-DDR5-VGA-...

http://www.ebuyer.com/409310-cyberpower-gaming-battalio...

P.S: No I will probably not build my own computer as I have no idea what i'm doing and my computer geek mate now lives in America.

Cheers.

If you feel comfortable, I would recommend building your own computer. Both of those are a bit overpriced so look in to doing a custom build, it will give you the most performance for the best price. If you are worrying about not being able to put it together, just look on youtube there are tons of videos out there about a custom build.

The second is slightly stronger in cpu and graphics, but I might pass because it has windows 8 which many don't like.
Both have amd quad core cpu's which are relatively weak compared to intel.
The more important part, the graphics, is on the lower end of a good gamer.
But... better graphics will also cost you more.

Get the Cyberpower Gaming Battalion 502 PC from ebuyer. The 7770 is better over the gtx 650 (based on tested from toms hardware). Other than that both have the same ram and similar CPU so just get the Cyberpower Gaming Battalion 502 PC

Id also recommend building your own. Im pretty sure you could get a better pc with 500

Okay thanks guys, I wouldn't mind having a go at building one myself but could someone try and put one together for me please? Budget 500-600, and i'll see if I can put it all together, thanks.

Just to let you know ...building a desktop is much easier than it seems....I built my first (and only) desktop almost a year ago. It was super easy and it smokes any pre-built on the market today (while I save a boat load of money). I did this after failing with "good gaming" laptops.

Give a budget and fill out tomshardware

At $500-600, look at a AMD 6300 plus nice gpu (depending on which games you play)

Also, how's this for a start? http://www.maplin.co.uk/wildfire-quad-core-intel-core-i...

That is horrible. But that's ok. You need to backup and learn what is needed for good gaming. If you want to play LoL or WoW then anything is ok. If you want to play Battlefield 3 on Ultra then $1000 is needed. If you want Crysis 3 at max then you need $1300. So it depends on usage.

Hey,

I just want to play stuff like WOW, GW2 and that, I just don't know where to start. I do want to play stuff like Skyrim and Shogun Total War.

For £1000, can someone build me a PC including the accessories that go with it (Monitor, speakers, OS).

Thanks

For those games...you can don't need to spend £1000. You could get same performance at £600.

Fill out tomshardware form. It helps mounds.

If you don't plan on overclocking then the 3220 is good. If you do want some added performance by overclocking then look for: AMD FX-6300 +

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
An overclocked 6300 is faster than a 3220 (which can't overclock)

Also, since you got a 7850, you might want to jump from 1366x768 to 1600x900. The graphics will look much better.

Do you live near a Microcenter? Will you buy in US, UK, ...?
