Does it seem like Asus is removing specification sheets from their motherboard sites, I'm only finding the motherboard adverts and not spec sheets, overviewsa are gone, and as well as the cpu/memory support information.

There are still a lot out there, but I did have a link to Asus Motherboards seach site but now only get an Asus OOPS! message.

It should be
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/

If someone wants to find me the Asus motherboard spec sheet for
ASUS P5Q-E LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
I'd be happy butI could only find the spec sheet on NewEgg.

Perhaps they are updating the information to accommodate Windows 8 compatibility rather than actually having to manufacture new motherboards that are actually widows 8 motherboards?

I am able to get some Asus sites (for motherboards) but not US English, only foreign language but the specifications are in English!

Biostar are trying to flog off their old directx10 (Vista) motherboards as Windows 8 ready, doesn't Windows 8 require directx 12?

Any thoughts or opinions?

Thanks but where are the specifications n detail tab on that page? Where is the memory and cpu support, and where is the usual overview? That page only gives basic details.

Compare your link with my link (although my link is for a different model number) but you weill see the differnece (hopefully).

I think they are adding "Windows 8 ready" images to the motherboard picture.

The full details and spec sheets shoud be available, users still require downloads, where are they going to get them, now? How will a user know if their cpu is compatible? What about ram QVL listsd, sure they are not complete but do give indications. What about bios updates? No more of them, now!
