NVIDIA GT 610 card not recognized?

Hello! I just purchased the GT 610. I installed it into my brand new computer, and it won't register at all. I am running Windows 7 64-bit, with an ASRock z75 Pro 3 Motherboard. I try to install the drivers, but it says there is no hardware recognized. I tried to find it under the device manager, but it isn't there at all. I tried physically removing the card, and reinstalling it, and no luck. I tried to install it in a different slot, and my computer wouldn't start at all. Is there something else I can do, or did I get a dud?

update your mobo's bios to latest and see it works or not

I updated the bios on the mobo, still nothing. The fan on the card works, so I know it is getting power - it just isn't recognized in Windows 7

go to bios and set peg to primary video output or int display first

take it back to where you bought it (if it's near enough).
but before that, make sure that it is properly seated to the slot.

and yeah, you should've bought a better gpu. unless you dont play games
