first: don't really understand crossfire too much.

So if I wanted to crossfire and get another Radeon HD 7950 what would I do?

2 questions:

Do i have to get the same brand (SAPPHIRE)?

Would I have to upgrade anything, or would I just buy another card and plug it into my motherboard and plug the crossfire cable from card to card and be just turn on my computer and be good to go??

System:

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1

ASUS DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS Black

Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 7200 RPM

G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB)

Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz)

Antec NEO ECO 620C 620W Continuous Power

SAPPHIRE 100352-2L Radeon HD 7950 3GB 384-bit

ASRock Z77 Extreme3 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI

NZXT Apollo Black SECC Steel Chassis ATX Mid Tower

No, it doesn't have to be the same brand , you could use any brand you want but i needs to have the same gpu (both of them have to be 7950s) and you'll need a power supply that can supply a higher voltage (at least 850W).

First, you plug in both cards, then the crossfire plug, then the power connectors for both cards . Then power on your pc . Go to CCC (AMD Catalyst Control Center) go to 'gaming' , then click 'Enable CrossFireX' and your done.

One thing to keep in mind is that you are running 2 cards , therefore the graphics cards might run hotter . If it gets too hot then you might have to install fans to cool down the cards.
