How much can I overclock?

Hey there guys, I really need your help with overclocking my GPU (only for btc mining not for gaming) I have the gigabyte hd 5870 card and I'm currently on 850 gpu clock and 600 memory (I don't need memory cause it doesnt increase my Mhash/s) and the temp is going up to 65*C how much more do you think I should overclock? any help is appreciated, please & thanks

65c leaves thermal headroom but what voltage are you using? if still on stock then with a little extra voltage i could see you getting 1000mhz clock speed, for me I don't like a gpu going over 75c on load but your fan will be pretty loud at this temperature

I've got not much expereince but in afterburner that option is not available even tho I changed the settings so Ill try giving you couple of gpu-z pictures:

ah ok 850mhz is the stock clock, in msi afterburner you should have an option called "core clock" start by increasing that by 50mhz, then there is a K button on the left top corner press that it will open kombuster to test your overclock, if there is no problems and temperature is still fine then up another 50mhz and continue this until you get artifacts or a screen crash then start decreasing by 10mhz at a time and testing after each decrease, that should allow you find your maximum core clock speed on stock voltage
