i am planning to make a gaming PC for less than $650.(Rs.36096)

Most costly factor is My GPU - Radeon HD 7850 Rs 13096 ($241 in india)
i am buying a 18.5" LED monitor at 768p resolution. Is HD 7850 an overkill?

or should i drop Rs.4000($74) to get a HD 7770. That could bring down my PC budget.

Is 7850 good for Crysis 3?
My CPU to buy is intel core i3 3220 as Phenom X4 are discontinued at shops.

is there any ways to reduce cost and minimize performance impact?
help needed.....

definitely a 7850 is enough.I'd not recommend moving all the way to a 7770,you may instead buy the 1gb 7850 as 1gb is enough for 720p gaming and 7850s have nice horsepower to run any games easily.

hii yup if you are buying monitor of that size 7850 will rock...i own sapphire 7850 and run with 23 inch monitor. did played crysis 3 all maxed out setting..only need to keep antialising in smaa 2x..but hell ya it looks so insane....don't worry 7850 is pretty descent and powerfull gpu...just go for it..make sure you buy a descent smps though!!!:)
have fun enjoy gaming

in case you get one 7850 you should get a new monitor a larger one!if you pick the 7770 you wont need one so if you take a new monitor go for the 7850 otherwise go for the 7770!

the gigabyte seems to be going very well in graphics cards!i would pick the gigabyte oc edition and you wont have a problem!since it have 2gb of vram i would go for 21.5 inches or more!there you will see the difference in graphics quality!and the graphics card wont be wasted!

I was looking at 7850 even though it is much above budget i expected. Seeing the HD 7790 , should i go with it for a 768p monitor?

is the GTX 650Ti better than HD 7770?
