Sapphire radeon 7970 OC Boost edition Crysis 3

Today I got on crysis 3 for the first time on my brand new gpu I just got in 2 days ago. Excited to see the game on max settings at 1080p resolution I was quickly disappointed on the games opening scene noticing I was already lagging. Does anybody know why I would lag with such a powerful gpu is it because crysis has no driver updates yet or is it just because the opening scene has all the rain and what not. Or is my power supply too small too properly support the card even though on the website it requires only 450 watts plus the 175 for my CPU.
