Hello,

As you most likely know the ps4 gets an amd processor. So who thinks the amd fx serie gets better optimized for gaming and gaming is going to use more cores?

The AMD CPU used in PS4s are based on the Jaguar core, not PileDriver.

If PS4 games are CPU optimized and simply ported over to the PC, then it would not be optimized anymore because Jaguar and PileDriver are different architectures.

On the desktop AMD's Jaguar competes with Intel's Atom.

This only means that more games will be designed with AMD hardware in mind. In no way does it affect how FX processors are "optimized" as you put it. Because of the net gain in the core count of consoles, inevitably all multicore processors will see better utilization in games regardless of whether they are Intel or AMD.

Games are probably going to become multicore, PS4 or not. Having a
multi-core console might accelerate the process, adding incentive, but the PS3 and Xbox 360 were both multicore before; the only difference is that now they are x64, rather than PowerPC based.

And why would the FX series particulary benefit? The PS4 uses Jaguar not FX cores.. At any rate any optimizations made to the PS4's architecture would most likely be properietary to Sony.
