Looking for a decent motherboard to accompany fx 8350

So I'm buying an fx 8350 and 8 gb ddr3 1600 G-Skill RAM and I need a suitable motherboard to accompany it. I'd prefer not to spend a crazy amount of money on it (would like to keep it near 100-120ish).

Is this a decent board? If not, what would you recommend?

More about decent motherboard accompany 8350
  1. That is a decent board and the best chipset for it 990FX which is what I recommend.
  2. I'm just worried because I've read some reviews of people saying that their computers won't POST and stuff like that.
  3. While it's decent, i recommend the asus board over the biostar : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131874
    It's cheaper with rebate.
  4. It does not matter what board you buy in that regards a certain very few % of people will always get a faulty product and have issues.
    Another 990FX board http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128514
  5. Any particular reason you guys recommend those mobos specifically?
  6. I recommend 990FX boards because in general they have the best power regulation for a high power draw CPU like the FX8350
  7. What about this one? Would this work with the fx 8350?

  8. Yes it will.
  9. and I don't have to flash my bios?
  10. I would get the asus, it has a digital power phase design, which is better than the power phases of the msi, the asus is a good board, i'd stick either with gigabyte, asrock or asus, in this case the asus is cheaper, it has 6 SATA III ports, digital power phase design, 2 e-sata, all the features that you need.
It will support any AMD FX cpu, either of those motherboards.
  11. No I know for a fact that the MSI supports it out of the box but there are BIOS updates out to fix some issues (same for my daughters MSI GD80 V2).
  12. Are the gigabyte, asrock, and the asus a lot better than the biostar one though?
  13. I would trust more on those brands mention above, besides the biostar only has a 4+1 power phase design.
Also it has less one sata III port(5) and a worse lan controller.
  14. cool. I appreciate these answers very much. Thank you! I will probably go with the Asus but we'll see.
