Old PC game, HELP!

so my sister and I used to play this game and there was a character who had to do something. I know I'm not giving much to go off of, but it was set in the mountains, had cool music, and the character had a pick axe... anything will help!

well it wasn't a horror game, I think it was programmed into our old computer -.- which we got rid of, and the character had to go to a store to buy supplies like a new pick axe and it was really pixely...
