PLEASE HELP - Power button won't work

Hi I'm sorry for caps but after installing my new psu the led light on the motherboard turns on but the power button on my case won't work. Anyone know why? I don't know what to do everything is plugged in right please respond

Short the 2 pins on your motherboard with a flat head. If you do not know where the 2 pins are, look in your motherboard manual. They are called Power Reset or something along those lines.

wow...it worked. oh my god lol. but the case is open, and do i have to do that same method to turn my computer on? or is there a way to fix it?

Alright so I got it to work but my gtx 650ti is a bit loud..and I'm not doing anything but on this website is it supposed to be loud like that? I have a 550w psu

Do you have the case's power pins plugged into your MoBo? The case's power connectors should be near tiny, and there are about 6 of them. Normally they are black.

does the case's power pins seem like they're coming from behind the disk drive? and is it really small with black green red and some other colored wires coming out of it? it has 9 pins and the 10th spot is blocked off as if nothings supposed to be there, i tried to fit it on top, and it did, but it was a bit loose and the power button still wouldn't work. it could be damaged I don't know.
