MSI Z77A-G45 - Updating the BIOS?

Hello, I have the motherboard that is listed above, and I am wondering how to update my BIOS. Nothing is wrong with my computer or anything, I just like to have all of my software up-to-date to get the best performance I can.

I have never updated a BIOS before, so I am completely new to this. Would appreciate any help, thanks!

It says to use that program after flashing my BIOS. How do I flash it? I don't want to screw anything up :O

You might have to sign up but they specialize in MSI and actually MSI tech support works with them.

Okay, so I download the latest BIOS update file from MSI's website, it was a zip file. So I uploaded that onto my USB with the program that you sent me to. So now I just reboot my computer and run from the USB to install the BIOS update?

Also, about clearing the CMOS, do I just do that if the computer doesn't boot properly?

Also, what about the flash utility that my motherboard comes with? I believe it's called "Winki" or something? Would that be easier and safer?

Really does not matter just as long if you are not doing it under windows. (like life update)
There is instruction there how to use the tool, after update clear cmos.

I updated it successfully, now I just need to overclock my CPU again. Thank you for your help!
