New CPU-Dell Inspiron 3250

Hi, I'm new to the computer world so bear with me please. I have a Dell Inspiron 3250 that i got at Best Buy. Its been working great for me except the processor. I need to know if first if I can even switch out the processor (I have a Celeron w/1.7 Ghz) out of the computer and I would like to know what processor I can replace it with. This is the only computer I have and I play some of my games on it so the faster speed could help me. Thanks

Seems like a laptop? If so, you are out of luck as those are not really interchangeable.

Not entirely true. I swapped a T2310 for a T7700 in my old Compaq laptop. It looks like some other 3250's had i5 2430M and i3-2350. You could try and see if either of those will work for you. I warn you, though, it is not an easy process to get to the CPU in a laptop.
