Ethernet port lights not turning on and no internet connection, help!

So the lights on the back on my pc isnt coming on when i connect my ethernet cord and i dont get internet i tried restarting the comp,restarting modem, disabling and re enabling local lan connection. Any solutions?

Try reloading the Driver(s) for the LAN connector - they should be on the CD that came with your motherboard. If you don't have the CD, visit the motherboard manufacturer's website; they are usually under the "Support" tab. You will need your motherboard's specific model number (it is printed on the motherboard.
