I like the bundle idea, since i'm on a budget , I have a 450 watt thermaltake psu from an old build also may have a hd, so i would just need to add windows .

don't really want to spend more than 400 on a bundle , am i just misguided? can you pick separate parts with same performance and the same cost?

Sorry for the wall of text, but if a bundle needs one or two things to be a good computer please list with answer ! i live about 5 minutes from a tigerdirect

Not opposed to overclocking since cpu coolers aren't super expensive !

Yes. Don't bother with those Tiger Direct pre configured bundles. The cases and power supplies included are complete trash. Not to mention the graphics cards on these bundles are extremely low quality and won't play anything on any sort of decent settings. This would be a better use of $400 if you ask me:

The APU will handily beat any of those garbage GPUs, and the power supply is Seasonic quality and won't blow up or short out on you.

That is a awfully expensive PSU G-Unit... there is a Ultra PSU for like $40 that could power that system, with a lifetime warranty...

Also, for like $20 more you can get the A10 which performs MUCH better, and if you dont need a full TB of storage space (most people dont) grab a 320GB drive and save $15. If you find later you need more storage space, the price of drives are only going to go down.

And as far as the RAM goes, I was never a Mushkin fan, and at that price I can once again save you a few bucks and get better performance:

So yea, thats my suggestion if you only need the tower.

Ultra power supplies are absolute garbage. Really one of the worst brands you could possibly buy. Pay a bit more for a quality supply like the Seasonic I recommended. Don't skimp on the power supply or it will end badly. Like blow up your system or short out on you badly. I owned two of them and their supposed top of the line model nearly shorted out my rig. I will never buy or recommend their products again.

Got to check the voltage to make sure it's compatible. I think APU builds require 1.5V but they could also use 1.65V.

The voltages are motherboard dependant. And I have owned 3 Ultra PSU's ALL of which are still in use today. I have a 600watt that is at least 10 years old, still chugging along just fine and several lower end 450 watts running several other options. I have never seen a Ultra PSU fail.

I've seen several fail. I had one that shut off my rig any time I tried to use the CPU when not in idle mode. Then I saw one with frayed wires that made me think twice before turning the system on. I've also had to pry stuck power buttons from Ultra cases, I've had tons of other things go wrong with their crap. On the other hand, I've also had to replace two Corsair CX430s (one shorted, one failed to boot an i3), but I've never seen a Seasonic fail on me. It's more than worth the extra money if you ask me.

Now their low end cases are simply cheap. I will give you that. But their PSU's have never given me issues and I can make a video showing at least 3 working flawlessly. That also may attest to me buying at least 1 step above what I need. For example this 600 watt that I use right now I used with my first ever build back in 2002. It had a AMD Athlon 3500+ and a 6600GT from PNY. Obviously that 600 watts is overkill. But Im still using it today with a 1075T and a 6870, with several drives and other bells and whistles.
