I signed up here at TH only yesterday to reply to an old post that I have an Answer for:

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/291936-30-evga-nforce...

I verified my new TH account with the link in the email so I could add a picture to the post. But my Reply (or Answer) never showed up. It's been about 24 hours since I tried.
Is that thread too old? Or some other problem?

Thanks - Sam

You seem to be registered and confirmed, and the fact that you can post in this forum indicates that all is well. Perhaps there was an issue with that particular thread. I have posted in the thread, which worked, so you should try now.

I was also able to post as well so if you still can't then try clearing your cache on your browser and try again.

Tried it again - got this error message above the input text box:
To insert a picture or a flash item in your message, you need to be a confirmed member. If you have not done that yet, confirm your email to validate your account.

Ah, so you can post, but not pics or flash. There may be some hidden requirement, this forum is brand new to us as well. Perhaps once you have been here a bit. Try uploading an avatar.

When you did the email confirmation did you see a confirmation that it went through? Clear your browser's cache and then close and reopen the browser. Which browser are you using?

I tried clearing my cache, cookies, history using Firefox 19.0.2
I created an avatar and it shows up ok
I tried changing the image hosting to imageshack instead of my own site. The image shows up in the Preview, but still will not post.
I don't recall getting any errors when I confirmed my account. I don't see any way to have another confirmation email sent from my TH account settings.

Too bad, because I found a fix and the pic shows it best.

I can't attach the pic in this thread either, but I'm putting the link here; maybe someone else can add it to the original thread?

Thanks for your help so far . . .

If you have another email or want to create a temporary one to use like a Google or Yahoo email , you can then put that in and select for a confirmation to be sent and then you can switch back and have them send another confirmation to your regular email.

I added that link to your post if you want to check it out and see how it looks. By the way you do realize that the post is almost 2 years old now and the original poster may not even be looking at it any longer?

I was able to replace the link in your post with the image. It won't help the OP of course, but may help others in the future.

Sam, go ahead and dig up another thread or two on this subject. See if you can find one in that section and one in some other section. See if you can post the image there, and get back to us.

It would be great to get this all sorted out.

@proximon - thanks! the pic is showing up inline now as originally intended.

I realize the thread is a bit old, but I found it just the other day. So the answer I discovered seemed like it could be useful to other folks like me - mucking around with older motherboards.
I could not even post the pic here, so I doubt it would post anywhere else at TH for now.
I'll try again the next time I need to post an answer.

Hi samsterid

I've checked your account. Your confirmation link was properly validated but I see no answer in the system at the same date until you created this topic. I don't know what happened exactly, I'm sorry.
