Hello guys, so here's the story. I came home from college for spring break. Was ready to play some video games on my gaming computer. I turned it on everything was working except there was no hdmi signal from my video cards. The first thing i did was try a DVI cable from the video card to the monitor. Still no signal. I tried testing both cards alone, same problem. Then i put in my old 7900 gs in and there is a signal and runs fine. Are my video cards fried? what other troubleshoots would you guys propose?
Hope to hear from you soon!

Make sure you power is connected correctly. I would try another monitor and see what it does. Also try the gpu in another computer. If you cannot do these things RMA the cards.

unfortunetly, i tried them in my friends computer different monitor different cables, they just turn on but have no signal. Just my luck my RMA ran out last month -__-. So im stuck with my geforce 7990 gtx lol. Would anyone know what video card under $300 would compete with 2 460s in sli?

Ive always been an Nvidia guy, ive heard alot of crap about the drivers that AMD puts out. Are these rumors really true?

2x460 = 7850

In $300 u can get 7950 which will be around 30-40% faster than 7850

Any specific models of the 7950 you would reccomend? Plus word on the street the 660ti is just as fast as the 7950

For me personally AMD and nVidia are more or less the same, both companies have stable drivers, but just new ones sometimes are messed up.

In $300 u can get 7950 which will be around 30-40% faster than 7850 or even better value will be 7870xt for about $240 which performs very close to 7950

In what magical world do you live in lol. 2 gtx 460's beat a single 7850
