HDMI to TV won't work

Hey I recently purchased a monster HDMI cable and attempted to plug my computer into my tv with it. Nothing shows up. Help?

clone display in settings section of whatever software it has, check u have proper channel input and tagged if possible on your TV. If nothing works update m/b bios. If u have a spare hdmi cable try it as well
