Fan splitter question

Hi there. I got a 120mm fan at the back of my case, and a 230mm fan in the front.
does is matter what kind of splitter i choose?
I have a P9Z77-I Deluxe motherboard

You could try a 3 pin splitter to dual 3 pins as long as they don't use too much power which most fans don't.
